Don’t Just Take Our Word For It…

Listen to what our Curriculum Manager & Adjunct Instructor, Amanda MacDonald, has to say:

“Although, I was what you would call a “traditional” undergraduate student (i.e I went to college right after graduating high school, I went to school full time, I lived on campus, etc.), I am also a first generation college student. I was fortunate enough to be able to pay for college with scholarships and grants but I did end up needing to work part-time for most of my college career. In fact, I enjoyed juggling working and going to school so much that I immediately pursued my master’s degree as soon as I finished my bachelor’s degree! (Ha ha!) I really enjoyed the different professors and students I met and interacted with in my different classes. From the professor who praised my writing skills and encouraged me to pursue a graduate degree to the mentor who helped me connect to an internship that launched my career in curriculum, I had a lot of positive influences while in college. The human mind has always fascinated me so I really enjoyed hearing other people’s thoughts and opinions, as well as learning from their life experiences and sharing my own. Being open to lifelong learning is one of the best lessons I received during my college education. My experiences in college helped me embark on a path in which I am able to think more creatively, develop a more open mind to people and ideas, be willing to try new things, and share my own ideas with others. I treasure these experiences I have had and I hope you are able to experience precious, life-altering moments while pursuing your academic goals, too!”

See? It’s just not me. Now it’s time to see for yourself.
